Day 2 - Lesson 1

Day 2: Who Is Jesus, Really?

Yesterday, we talked about how faith begins with a relationship — not religion. Today, we focus on the heart of that relationship: Jesus.

Maybe you've heard of Jesus as a good teacher, a miracle worker, or someone who started a global religion. But the Bible shows us something deeper: Jesus is God in human form.

He wasn’t just a wise man — He’s the Son of God, the Messiah, and the Savior of the world. He came not to judge you, but to rescue you. His entire mission was love.

Jesus stepped into our broken world and lived a perfect life. He healed the sick, welcomed outcasts, taught with authority, and then — though completely innocent — gave His life on a cross to pay the price for our sins.

Why? Because the love of God isn’t distant or abstract — it’s personal. Jesus came for you. He rose from the dead so you could have a new kind of life, one with hope, peace, and eternity with Him.

So if you’re wondering who Jesus really is — start here: He is the image of the invisible God. He is Savior. He is alive. And He is inviting you to know Him.

Pray This Simple Prayer

If Jesus is who He says He is — then today is a great day to talk to Him. You don’t need the perfect words. Just come with honesty.

Here’s a prayer to help you open that conversation:

Jesus, I want to know You.

I’ve heard about You, but I want more than secondhand faith.

Show me who You really are.

Thank You for loving me enough to come to earth, to live perfectly, and to die for me.

I believe You rose again, and I want to follow You.

Help me keep going. Amen.

This prayer doesn’t end here. Jesus walks with you every step of the way. Keep talking. Keep trusting. He’s listening.

Come Back Tomorrow

Today, you spent time discovering who Jesus truly is — not just through information, but through His Word and presence.

If Jesus is the Son of God, then following Him changes everything. But how do you actually start that journey?

Tomorrow’s focus: What does it mean to follow Jesus in real life?

One day at a time. That’s how faith grows. Keep going — you’re not alone.

See you in Day 3!

Reflect on These Scriptures

Read these verses slowly. Let each word reveal more about who Jesus truly is. You don’t need to “get it all” — just open your heart and listen.

John 1:1–5, 14 (NIV)

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

He was with God in the beginning.

Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.

In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.

The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

...

The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Matthew 16:15–16 (ESV)

He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”

Simon Peter replied, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

Romans 5:8 (NLT)

But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.

John 14:6 (NIV)

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

Write Down Your Thoughts

Journaling your journey with Jesus can help you see where you’ve been and where He’s leading you. It’s not about perfect grammar — it’s about honest reflection.

Take 5–10 minutes to think about what stood out to you today. What challenged you? What gave you peace?

Reflection Prompt:

“What does it mean to me that Jesus is not just a teacher or prophet — but God in human form?”

Write from the heart. God sees it all and loves you still.
